The dental perspective on metformin
Metformin is the most commonly prescribed drug in the treatment of diabetes. It has become popular in the field of dentistry with the discovery of the odontogenic, osteogenic and angiogenic effects of metformin in recent studies. The purpose of this review is to provide an overview of the studies conducted with metformin in the field of dentistry.
